The Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Services prepares students to serve clients in a variety of public and private outreach agencies. Human services graduates work with social workers, law enforcement officials, medical staff, emergency responders, and other specialists. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for human services workers is projected to grow by about 34% through 2016.
Human Services graduates use their knowledge of human services agencies, program planning, human development, and social issues to build long-term careers in the social service field. The program features educational quality with convenience through online coursework. Many BAS in Human Services graduates continue their studies in master’s degree programs in social work or counseling.
This degree is designed for students transferring approximately 60 units from a regionally accredited institution.
