The Nursing (DNP) - Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program is intended for Registered Nurses with a BSN or MSN degree. The College of Nursing offers a full-time and part-time option for DNP students. Part-time students are required to be enrolled in at least 6 units per semester. Part-time study is only available during the pre-clinical portion of the program and adds an additional year to degree completion. It is your responsibility to identify professionals/preceptors in your local community who could potentially be preceptors for your clinical management courses during the initial semester of the DNP program. If suitable preceptors cannot be found in your local community, you may be required to travel to another city or state to complete your clinical management course requirements. The College of Nursing has Graduate Coordinators who will assist you with formalizing clinical site agreements and required paperwork.
