Program Details
In this online degree program, your goals take priority. You’ll customize your own curriculum and learn from experts in fields such as microelectronic processing, ceramics and polymers, and computational materials, just to name a few. What’s more, the “signature course” elective format enables you to enhance your existing skills and fine-tune your focus, so you can meet — and then exceed — your personal and professional objectives.
Students may transfer up to 6 units completed at other institutions accredited for graduate work. Correspondence courses will not be accepted for graduate credit. Compatibility of course credits for application within the online Master of Science in Material Sciences and Engineering will be determined by the department through an approved plan of study. The cumulative GPA required for graduation is 3.0, based upon courses taken toward the advanced degree. Students must complete degree requirements within six years of total elapsed time from the point of admission.
Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s in a science or engineering field.
